Assault Course, Ma'am!

My job for the last 2 1/2 weeks was training new basic cadets on the hardest course they run in all of basic: the assault course. I'm officially horse, worn out, and happy to be done. Big bad basic was yesterday, which means its all over! The 4 guys and lady champions had the pugile stick fight to see what the toughest. The fights this year were actually kinda lame but thats ok. It's over now. No more yelling, no more 8+ hour work days starting at 5:30am and no more dirty basics to look at (they smell!). This cartoon was run on Edodo, a website that pokes fun of my school. Usually cadets submit these cartoons and I thought this one was just so appropriate and funny. The people in the blue hats are upperclassmen and the two fighting are basic cadets.

Yea for no more assualt course!

Quick Trip

The day before I came back to school I went to my grandparents and my mom & sister brought Sadie up. It was nice to see them all before I came back out to Colorado. I miss everyone so much already. Only one more year to go! Here are a few pictures (the white dog is my grandparents' dog named BJ):

Blog Rating

I found a website that will rate your blogs, facebook, myspace, ect.
This is what my blog is rated:
The rating was determined by the following words:
sex (4 times), pain (2 times), and shit (1 time).
I guess mentioning sex & the city makes my blog innappropriate haha.

Grey's Season 3

Season 3 is out on DVD September 18, 2007!!!!

Where is your heart?

Where is your heart?
'Cause I don't really feel you
Where is your heart?
What I really want is to believe youIs it so hard
To give me what I need?
I want your heart to bleed
That's all I'm asking for
Oh, where is your heart?
I don't understand
Your love is so cold
It's always me that's reaching out
For your hand
And I've always dreamed
That love would be effortless
Like a petal fallin' to the ground
A dreamer followin' his dream
Where is your heart?
'Cause I don't really feel you
Where is your heart?
What I really want is to believe you
Is it so hard
To give me what I need?
I want your heart to bleed
And that's all I'm asking for
Oh, where is your heart?

Sadie

We got a dog today!! Meet Miss Sadie...

She cried when we had to leave her today. She is coming home tomorrow after her surgery. Unfortunately I won't be here to see her. :( Next time I see her at the house she will be big! Welcome to the family Sadie.

1 Corinthians 13

A few words from a friend tonight:

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails...
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Paris

Even though I only spent a little over a day there, I fell in love with Paris. I tried to see as much as I could in one day (not advised for your legs' sake). Here are a few pictures from Paris!!!! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the city.
Me at the Arc de Triomph the night we got there

Me at the Arc

You can guess where I am here...

I'm obsessed!

More obsession

One of the coolest pictures I took. Looking down the Seine River.

Looking down the little arc, Place de Concord & the Arc de Triomph

I would not want to drive in this traffic circle around the arc!

The Arc at night

Tomb of the unknown soldier at the Arc.

Notre Dame

Street dancers are abundant at night along with all kinds of other performers trying to make a few Euros

Most famous street in Paris: Champes-Elise

There are pricy stores on the Champse-Elise, including this one I checked out!

The Louvre

The Louvre at night.

One of the few things I could take pictures of in Louvre.

I saw the Monna Lisa. (No this wasn't it, just the sign to it.)

This was a cool museum. Check it out if you're in Paris!

The inside of the Musée d'Orsay.

I'm alive!

Hi everyone! I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I promise. I've just been really busy and haven't had access to a computer, the perks of traveling a lot I guess. Right now I'm in Dayton, Ohio at Wright Patterson Air Force Base doing research. I've had better assignments (like France!) but I'm pretty happy with this one because I'm close to family and friends. Last weekend I went to Pittsburg for my cousin's wedding with my parents and my sister. It was a lot of fun! I spent the 4th of July with my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and my cousins (one just got back safely from Iraq). Tonight I'm heading home to Lexington and will be there all weekend! Even though I didn't get leave this summer, these 3 weeks have been pretty good. Next weekend I will return to school to work basic cadet training, whoo hoo. Well I just thought I would say hi! I'll be posting pictures soon of all my summer travels.
