Scrapbooking

I'm starting up a hobby of mine again!!! While I'm home and have some time at home, I'm going to try and work on making scrapbook pages from high school before I forget who all of the people in the pictures are and what I was doing. When I get back to school, I'm planning on starting my Academy Album. I need to scrap 4 years in my spare time during only one semester. Wish me luck. I'm really excited to be scrapping again!

Africa

I'm going to Africa for a mission trip this summer! I'm not sure what country I'm going to or what I will be doing yet, but I'm really excited. I think I find all that out the end of January. I'm using some of my 60 days to travel and I'll be in Africa from June 1-15 with the Mill ministries from New Life Church. Please be praying for my trip and that I can raise the money to go.

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and your family if you get to see them. This might be the last year for a while I am home for the holiday so I'm trying to enjoy every second of it. Writter's Strike: I hope there is an end in Sight

I am so sick of reruns. The last three weeks have been reruns of both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice and its really making me mad. I am sick of seeing the same episodes over and over. I need to know what is going to happen at Seattle Grace Hospital and what is going on between Addison and her hunk. I am also tired of late night shows being reruns and it seems like there are a lot more commercials on TV (I hate commercials!).

Will the shows go on? Many actors and actresses are protesting the Emmy's and Oscars until a resolution is made for the writters.

Home!

I'm got home safe and I have been laying low recently. I've caught up on my sleep! I've read an entire book and both of my Cosmo magazines, plush my sister's OK! magazines as well. I've also been doing a lot of sudoku to keep from getting too bored. I haven't had too many inspirations or desires to blog lately, sorry. But most importantly, I finished all of my Christmas shopping yesterday and got all of my presents wrapped as well. I'm so happy to be done early.

All of my wrapped presents are safe under the Christmas tree so long as Sadie doesn't try to unwrap any of them. She seems to really like sniffing all the presents and steeling the bows off of them. I think the family is going to have a great Christmas.

School's Out!!!

0730-1120 Astro Final (I'm hoping it will take me less than 3 hours)
Post office
1200 hair cut & grabbing lunch
1330-? packing to go home, to go snowboarding, and packing up my room to move next semester
1800-2000 massage & facial
2030 leaving for Vail for the weekend
2300ish arriving at Vail

I'll be snowboarding all weekend in Vail! Then I head home to kentuckyon Monday the 17th. I can't wait to see my family and friends, get caught up on much needed sleep, read for pleasure, and catch up on my TV shows!!! I'm so excited to have no schedule for 3 weeks! I am one more semester closer to graduation! Only 166 days and counting!!!

So Close To Home

Please keep the New Life church in Colorado Springs in your prayers. This is the church I have recently become involved in, and it reminds me a lot of Southland Christan back home in Lexington. It sits just outside the Air Force Academy gates. Today during the 11am service (which I normally go to but I was up in the mountains snow boarding. That was a last minute decision and I feel like God was watchcing over me.) a gunman walked into the church foyer and opened fire, killing one and injuring four others. He was shot and killed by a security guard at the church (I didn't even know we had security guards). Please keep the victims, families, and church members in your thoughts and prayers. This is such a trajedy for the Christain community. Here is the Church's website new life

These wreaths -- some 5,000 -- are donated by the Worcester Wreath Co. of Harrington , Maine . The owner, Merrill Worcester, not only provides the wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's done this si nce 1992. A wonderful guy. Also, most years, groups of Maine school kids combine an educational trip to DC with this event to help out. Making this even more remarkable is the fact that Harrington is in one the poorest parts of the state.

I am very very excited for this movie. I want to know if Carrie & Big get married or not. What do you think will happen? I don't think she is the marrying kind. I am really curious to see what is going on in the girls lives so many years later as well. Oh I can't wait. In theaters May 2008!!!

Procrastination

I hate how I always seem to wait until the last minute to get things done and then it seems like everything that can go wrong will. So I had to write a paper on Alzheimer's Disease for my Abnormal Psychology class. My intentions were good because I had been doing the reseach for it and organizing what I had found for the last week. However, I dind't start actually typing my paper until last night and it was due this morning at my 950 class. Well I'm doing pretty good on the paper when my computer decides to shut itself off at 2:30 in the morning and not start back up. Finally, about 3am I get it to turn back on and I am able to recover some, but not all mind you, of my paper. Basically, I ended up having to pretty muich start over and I worked all night on it (with little 10 minute catnaps here and there for about an hour of sleep total), finishing my 15 paper about 8:30 this morning. I was definitely late to my 8:50 class because of it but I don't care. I got it done. Then I was going to take a nap this afternoon because I had a little time off before my afternoon class, but noooooo that can't happen either. My group project wasn't done because the guy who was typing up the paper decided to do a piss poor job on it, so I had to rewrite it. Let's not mention that I did all the hand calculations for this atronautical engineering project and filled out the spreadsheet. So here I am last minute again trying to get our project in the correct format and get it together to turn in on time. I finished it with about 30 minutes to spare before the class started, just enough time to eat a bite at 2pm for the first time all day. So now it's 1045 and I just finished working on another group project. Lovely, soft, pink bed here I come to crash over 40 hours since I last saw you...Goodnight!

Coke, Soda, Pop, or even Soda Pop? Which is it?

There was a little debat last night between some of my friends over what the proper name for a drink is: coke, soda, pop, or even soda pop. I say Coke and so does this map for Lexington, Ky. In fact most of Kentucky says coke while here in Colorado its pop, but I still call it coke. Here is the history of soft drinks:

10 things that I complain about

This list was very easy for me to come up with right now with finals week quickly approaching. I wish it wasn't so easy for me to come up. Here's what I'm complaining about right now:

1. Not enough time in the day (I need about 3 more hours per day)
2. Final papers & projects suck
3. Stupid rules and punsihments at school
4. I don't get enough sleep
5. I haven't worked out in how many days...? I don't even remember
6. Packing up my room to move next semester
7. My back is killing me
8. People lately have seemed ruder (is that a word?)
9. How much its going to cost to fix my car
10. What to buy my family and friends for Christmas ( I have no idea)
