Thankful on Thursday

Today I am thankful for being a woman! I know it might sound a little weird, but it has its perks like shoes and free drinks and strong men (well one man for me) to take care of you. Plus its lots of fun to do your hair and makeup and pick out a cute outfit. And did i mention the color PINK?! I think boys are missing out!
So many cute shoes to chose from
Drinks with the girls (they're pink!)

Here are 38 reasons why its great to be a woman that I found on a website a while back (sorry I forgot where I found it). Some of them are funny:
1. Free drinks.
2. Free dinners.
3. Free movies (you get the point).
4. You can hug your friend without wondering if she thinks you're gay.
5. You can hug your friend without wondering if YOU'RE gay.
6. You know The Truth about whether size matters.
7. Speeding ticket? What's that?
8. New lipstick gives you a whole new lease on life.
9. You never had to walk down the hall with your binder strategically positioned in high school.
10. If you have sex with someone and don't call them the next day, you're not the devil.
11. Condoms make no significant difference in your enjoyment of sex.
12. If you have to be home in time for Melrose Place, you can say so, out loud.
13. It's possible to live your whole life without ever taking a group shower.
14. Brad Pitt.
15. You don't have to fart to amuse yourself.
16. If you cheat on your spouse, people assume it's because you're being emotionally neglected.
17. You'll never have to decide where to hide your nose-hair clipper.
18. No one passes out when you take off your shoes.
19. If you forget to shave, no one has to know.
20. You can congratulate your teammate without ever touching her butt.
21. If you have a zit, you can conceal it.
22. You never have to reach down every so often to make sure your privates are still there.
23. If you're dumb, some people will find it cute.
24. You don't have to memorize Caddyshack or Fletch to fit in.
25. You have the ability to dress yourself.
26. You have an excuse to be a total bitch at least once a month.
27. You can talk to people of the opposite sex without having to picture them naked.
28. If you're wearing cologne, you don't have to pretend it's aftershave.
29. You'll probably never see someone you know while peeing in an alley.
30. You'll never have to punch a hole through anything with your fist.
31. You can quickly end any fight by crying.
32. There are times when chocolate really Can solve all your problems.
33. You've never had a goatee.
34. Gay waiters don't make you uncomfortable.
35. You'll never regret piercing your ears.
36. You can fully assess a person just by looking at their shoes.
37. You don't have hair on your back.
38. You know which glass was yours by the lipstick mark.

Cashmire Mafia

This is like my new favorite show!
It reminds me of Sex & the City, but not quite the same.
Still all the high fashion & the NYC backdrop.
It has the same fashion designer and producer from S&tC
Check it out on ABC Wednesday nights at 10/9 central.

I'm Red today

The color of romance and emotion - you sure know a thing or two about passion. While often associated with anger, you represent the truth in human emotion. You stand for blood, fire and power. While even considered a major symbol of good luck in Oriental cultures, you symbolize leadership and valor - power that cannot be easily conquered.

Real Age

So I found this cool site that calculates your "real age" based on your health and life style decisions. I am really 22.2 years old, but according to this web site I am only 14.8 years old. I'm not sure if I really believe that because with my bad back I feel about 50 years old. Check it out here. It only takes about 10 minutes to complete. Let me know what you find out!

I'm a big dork

So I'm a big dork, but I had to share this because I think its great! I found a great new cleaner. I've been a Shout user to get those "tough" stains out since I've been doing my laundry, but I was always dissapointed that it couldn't seem to clean all my stains or that it would leave a trace of the stain. Now I don't have to worry about that! I found something that gets EVERYTHING out, I mean everything. Food, blood, grass, dirt, you name it and it can clean it. It even gets old stains out of clothes. And its great because you can use it not only on clothes but also on carpets, apolstry, and any other cloth surface you can think of. I hope it cleans the purple crap off of my driver's side mat that my cousins left in my car (which really angers me that they trashed my car, but that's a whole nother story). I'm going to try and use it on my car mat when it warms up a little bit. I'll keep you updated on how that goes.

UK wins!

Just thought I would share: the Kentucky men's basketball team beat #3 Tennessee yesterday at Rupp Arena. Yup, that's right, we beat #3. Its been a tough year for the young team, so I'm really excited about this. Plus, I don't like Tennessee. They're too orange hehe.

Heath Ledger's Death

I can't believe Heath Ledger died yesterday. His death is so sudden and tragic. I think he was one of Hollywood's best actors and I always enjoyed his films. I think he was in the middle of filming a new picture due out in 2009. I feel so sorry for his friends and family in Australia. Right now, speculation is that he died from a prescription drug overdose. An autopsy will take 10 days for conclusive results. His house keeper found him face down in his bed yesterday afternoon at his SoHo NYC apartment. His loss will be felt around the world. I am praying that his family and friends find peace and are comforted durig this tragic time.

1979-2008
He was only 28 when he died Brokeback Mountain: his most famous & controversial movie.
With former fiance Michelle Williams. They have a 2 year old daughter, Matilda, together.

He is also rumored to have date Lindsey Lohan last December and she

was seen yesterday very upset at the news of his death.

He is the joker in the new Batman movie.

His Films:

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009)- filming has stopped

The Dark Nights (2008)

I'm Not There (2007)

Candy (2006)

Casanova, Brokeback Mountain, The Brothers Grimm, & Lords of Dogtown (2005)

The Four Feathers (2002)

Monster's BAll & A Knight's Tale (2001)

The Patriot (2000)

10 Things I hate About You (1999)

Principled Politics?

Is there really such a thing? I don't think it exhists...Thoughts?

Thankful On Thursday

Today I am thankful for a warm place to sleep, lots of layers to dress in to stay warm outside, and that I only have to be out in the cold for a minimal amount of time. Today walking to my breakfast formation it was -12 degrees out side (no wind) and yesterday morning it was -17 degrees with the wind chill walking to breakfast. BRRRR. Thank goodness for gloves, hats, and warm coats.

P.S. The penguins are much better equipped for cold weather like this!
