Cameras

So my poor, old camera is about to die. I got it for Christmas sophomore year (I think) and its had a hard life. There are more scratches on it, it uses up more batteries than anything I've ever owned, and now the lense doesn't always like to open. That camera has been everywhere: Alaska, California, Mexico, on a cruise, France, Monaco, Kentucky, to the mountains boarding, and all around school with me. Its about to go to Jamaica in 3 weeks. I am very happy its lasted this long for me. It has been a good camera. It doesn't zoom very well and the viewing screen isn't the best, but its still been a good camera. I'm hoping and praying it can hold out just a little bit longer. I will be lucky if it makes it through the end of the school year to graduation. I really need a new one (maybe a graduation present?!) & I found one I like at Walmart. I also need a new, larger memory card for Africa this summer. Here are a few pictures of it. I bet you can't guess why I absolutely love it:

Here is the description for it:

Thought for the day

FYI

Guess what? It is estimated that 90% of people have stretch marks. Fat people, skinny people, young people, old people, women- especially when pregnant, body builders, men when they become fat, and even celebrities and supermodels have them! And lots of celebrities have cellulite too. But guess what? In Hollywood, there is body make up to cover it up and photo editing. The rest of are just real people who don't need make up and aren't appologizing for them.

In case you were wondering, here's a list of celebrities that have admitted to cellulite and stretch marks(and most of them aren't fat or pregnant at the current time):
· Christina Aguilera
· Tara Reid
· Cindy Crawford
· Mariah Carey
· Uma Therman
· Britney Spears
· Mischa Barton
· Pamela Anderson
· Paris Hilton
· Anna Kournikova
· Hillary Duff
· Sandra Bullock
· Nicollette Sheridan
· Star Jones
· Maria Sharapova
· Helen Hunt
· Tom Cruise (yes, celebrity men too!)

And here are a few pictures for you of real people and celebrities (hope they don't gross you out):
Some fat Man
Tara Reid has horrible ones on her abdomen from her plastic surgeries (sorry I couldn't find a picture but I know I've seen a bathing suit shot of her in the grocery aisle gossip magazines.)
And we all remeber Brittany's performance. Check out that stomach.
Even super model Cindy Crawford.
Here's an up close picture.
Demi Moore when she was pregnant.
And even Katie Holmes has them peeking over her jeans during her pregnancy.

Thankful on Thursday

Today I'm thankful that I have great family and friends that know the real me and love me. They are just awesome and I've blessed. Thanks guys!

(No this is not me being conceited or snobbish or whatever other word you want to fill in the blank with. I'm just plain thankful.)

Songs of the Day

Christina Aguilera – Stripped Interludes parts 1 & 2
I've waited a long time for this
It feels right now
Allow me to introduce myself
I want you to come a little closer
I'd like you to get to know me a little bit better
Meet the real me

Sorry you can't define me
Sorry I break the mold
Sorry that I speak my mind
Sorry don't do what I'm told
Sorry if I don't fake it
Sorry I come too real
I will never hide what I really feel

Huh, so here it is
No hype, no gloss, no pretense
Just me
Stripped

Sorry if I ain't perfect
Sorry I don't give a -what-
Sorry I ain't a diva
Sorry just know what I want
Sorry I'm not a virgin
Sorry I'm not a slut
I won't let you break me
Think what you want

To all my dreamers out there -
I'm with youAll my underdogs, ha - I feel you
Lift your head high and stay strong
Keep pushin' on

Christina Aguilera & Lil' Kim- Can't Hold Us Down Lyrics
So-What am I not s'pposed to have an opinion
Should I keep quiet just because I'm a woman
Call me a bitch cause I speak what's on my mind
Guess it's easier for you to swallow if I sat and smiled

When a female fires back suddenly big talker don't know how to act
So he does what any little boy will do
Makin' up a few false rumors or two
That for sure is not a man to me,slanderin' names for popularity
It's sad you only get your fame through controversy
But now it's time for me to come and give you more to say

This is for my girls all around the world
Who have come across a man who don't respect your worth
Thinking all women should be seen not heard
So what do we do girls, shout louder
Lettin' them know we're gonna stand our ground
Lift your hands higher and wave 'em proud
Take a deep breath and say it loud
Never can, never will
Can't hold us down

Nobody can hold us down...
Never can, never will...

So-What am I not supposed to say what I'm saying
Are you offended with the message I'm bringin'
Call me whatever 'cause your words don't mean a thing
Guess you ain't even a man enough to handle what I sing
If you look back in history it's a common double standard of society
The guy gets all the glory the more he can score
While the girl can do the same and yet you call her a whore
I don't understand why it's OK,
The guy can get away with it the girl gets named
All my ladies come together and make a change
Start a new beginning for us, everybody sang

This is for my girls all around the world
Who have come across a man who don't respect your worth
Thinking all women should be seen not heard
What do we do girls, shout louder
Lettin' them know we're gonna stand our ground
Lift your hands high and wave 'em proud
Take a deep breath and say it loud
Never can, never will, can't hold us down

Lil' Kim:
Check it - Here's something I just can't understand
If the guy have three girls then he's the man
He can either give us some head, sex galore
If the girl do the same, then she's a whore
But the table's about to turn
I'll bet my fame on it
Cats take my ideas and put their name on it
It's aiight though, you can't hold me down
I got to keep on movin'
To all my girls with a man who be tryin to mack
Do it right back to him and let that be that
You need to let him know that his game is whack
And Lil' Kim and Christina Aguilera got your back

You're just a little boy
Think you're so cute, so coy
You must talk so big to make up for smaller things
So you're just a little boy
All you'll do is annoy
You must talk so big to make up for smaller things

Welcome

To my new visitors from the eDodo rumor mill, welcome! This blog was intended for my family and friends that are thousands of miles away, that I hardly ever get to see, and that I don't get to talk to near as much as I would like to. I post things for them to keep up with my life. Plus its really hard to send pictures over the phone, so I put them on here to see. It wasn't made to entertain you, be politically correct, or be perfect. Get over it. If you don't look at it, I don't care and if you do, great.

Since all of your lives are so pathetic and borring that you have to get your jollies from reading someone else's personal blog, I hope you find something in here that you enjoy.

By the way, y'all are very opinionated, especially those of you "claiming to know me," haha. My favorite things said would have to be: "this dink (or all three of those wimmins, spelling?) can get in the hot tub with me for some correction instruction" (can you say sexual harrassment?) or"my three year old has deeper thoughts and better spelling. Any of the Cadets on here please punch her in the face" or "I know this bitch - she needs to lay off the estrogen and get the sand out. For those grads reading her blog, watch out."

I bet none of you have the balls to say anything to me. Any little chicken shit can publish something anonymously on the internet that has no repercussions nor any connections back to them, but if you're as hot as you think you are, you can tell me what you think here. Or better yet, for those cadets currently at the Academy that seem to have such an opinion about me, feel free to stop by anytime, my door is always open to hear what you have to say. My guess is that not a single one of you will because you're scared.

P.S. Jason! -Tramp stamps are on your back, not your hip. If you want to be cool & use slang, do it correctly or you look stupid. You're an '85 grad? Grow up. Double Centurian & Frosted Flake - This blog won't be taken down nor blocked because I could care less what your pathetic asses think. Absolut Fab 5- I could care less about my counter, but obviously it impressed you, especially since I've apparently gotten over 300 hits in the last 24 hours (according to Rulk88) so I'll leave it up there just for you. Hope you enjoy. ODB- Get a freakin life, you're a '98 grad still reading eDodo at work. Real productive. And you call me worthless? ClamboyVinyl- It says you graduated from somewhere (who knows?) in '87 and you're leading our Air Force? Looks like they let a real winner through. Maybe if you could pull some women on your own, you wouldn't have to hit on women that were born about the time your old ass graduated. And you're old, creepy, and bald. I'm not comfortable with that. Slilock - Thank you for pointing out anatomy we all learned in 3rd grade. Finally, for all you non-Academy grads posting on and keeping up with eDodo, you're the most pathetic people on the website. You have no idea what your talking about nor do deserve to be on eDodo, a website devoted to cadets & graduates, because you never went to the Academy or you got kicked out. You're still just wannabees.

Everyone have a great Air Force day!

Stupid Shit = No Graduation

Moral of this story: stupid drunken people make bad decisions and screw up their future & everything they've worked so hard for.

Meet my ex-friend (long story) Guz, AKA "The Rock", AKA the kid that fell off the cruise ship last spring break:
And my friends Tasha (hugging me in the red) & Abby (the green fairy):

Now read the police report, as quote in the Colorado Spring Gazette, of Saturday night's drunken incident:
Incident Date: February 24, 2008
Time: 1:04:00 AM
Division: Falcon
Shift III
Title: Assault
Location: Dublin House, 1850 Dominion Way
Summary:
An officer was dispatched to Dublin House, 1850 Dominion Way, on a disturbance. Staff members advised that a male, identified as Ernest Guzman, 23 years old, and 2 females were told to leave the property. When told to leave, Guzman pushed the officer and grabbed his shirt, refusing to let go. The officer struck Guzman in the face, in an attempt to get Guzman to let go. Guzman then struck the officer in the jaw. Guzman was tased and OC'd then taken into custody with the assistance of other officers. The 2 females, 22 year old Abigail Wise and 21 year old Natasha Sergi, got between the officers and Guzman and refused to obey commands to leave.

Both Guzman and the officer received minor injuries (Guz was tazed twice, once in the back of the head and once in the stomach).

Guzman was arrested and tranported to CJC on the charge of 2nd Degree Assault on a Peace Officer.

Both females were charged with Obstruction.
Adults Arrested: Ernest Guzman, Abigail Wise, Natasha Sergi

What does this mean? Abby & Tasha will be lucky to get late graduation because we are about 90 days away from graduation and the commodant said last month that any alcohol incidents, assaults, or honor issues by seniors would result in, at the best, late graduation. In my opinion, Guz will be lucky if he even graduates period. He really screwed up on this one. I haven't heard what is going to happen yet, Tasha is supposed to talk to me today, she didn't want to talk last night. However, according to one of the girl's squadron commanders, they will be lucky to get late graduation too.

New Favorite Song

This is one of my new favorite bands: Sixx AM. Their song LIfe Is Beautiful is amazing and moving. Don't be scared by their looks, they are hard rock, but they aren't that heavy that someone who doesn't like rock wouldn't like them. Just hear me out and read this story. Then maybe go to the website and listen to the song Life Is Beautiful or even watch the video. I will caution you, they are a rock band and they like to jump around hehe.

The Story:
This is what critics have called one of the most important bodies of work in 2007, The Heroin Diaries is a gripping account of Motley Crue rock-star bassist Nikki Sixx's paranoia-filled descent into drug addiction. The book is a culmination of Sixx's personal entries with present day commentary from Sixx himself as well as those who saw the train wreck fristhand. The Heroin Diaries Sountrack tells of lead singer Nikki Sixx's self destruction. Nikki overdosed on Heroin and we declared dead for 2 minutes, but brough back to life by doctor's. He took it as a sign to do something with his life and that he was given a second chance at life. The book's story is about Nikk's emergence from his days of going through life doped up and out of his mind, to reaching clarity that wakes him up, and leads him to a breakthrough to recovery. Inspired by his own trials growing up, Sixx created a charity that aims to keep youth off the streets. A portion of the proceeds from Heroine Diaries will benefit Sixx's vision to do what he can to help even one child avoid the pain and difficulties of the path ventured down when he was younger. The 13 tracks on the CD each coincide with a chapter of the book, enhancing the already intensely graphic imagery of Sixx' journal entries. The songs take the listener on a musical journey through high points of stardom, the depressing lows that Sixx sunk to during his drug-induced haze, and everything in-between. The hope of the project: that just one person does not have to travel the same road Nikki went down. To read more or see the video, check out Sixx Am

Life Is Beautiful
You can’t quit until you try
You can’t live until you die
You can’t learn to tell the truth
Until you learn to lie

You can’t breathe until you choke
You gotta laugh when you’re the joke
There’s nothing like a funeral to make you feel alive

Just open your eyes
Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

I know some things that you don’t
I’ve done things that you won’t
There’s nothing like a trailer park to find your way back home

I was waiting for my hearse
What came next was so much worse
It took a funeral to make me feel alive

Just open your eyes
Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

Just open your eyes
Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

Just open your eyes
Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

Just open your eyes
Just open your eyes
And see that life is beautiful.
Will you swear on your life,
That no one will cry at my funeral?

Heroic & Inspiring Story

Meet fighter pilot Major Dennis who volunteered to do a ground mission in Iraq (currently serving in Iraq) and Nubs the dog, named because he has no ears. They were cut off by Iraqis in hopes of making the dog more agressive. Nubs is a stray that quickly became friends with the unit. They would feed him scraps of food while they were out on their mission and Nubs would chase the Hum V's as they drove away. One day, they found him nearly freezing to death after he had been stabbed by a local with a screwdriver. Maj Dennis nursed the wound and slept next to him that night so the dog would stay warm, expecting Nubs not to make it through the night. Suprising he did, but the unit had to return to post that day and leave the dog behind. Nubs tracked the Hum V's and followed them 65 miles to their base. Military orders require that no pets may be kept on the war-time instalitaion, so Maj Dennis had 4 days to get rid of him or kill him. Major Dennis made arrangements, jumped through hoops, raised $3500 to send Nubs to American, and was able to send Nubs back to his state side unit in San Diego. Nubs is currently being cared for by a friend, learning how to be a normal dog, and awaiting Maj Dennis's return home from Iraq. To read the whole story, go here.

Dogs

I found this really cute website dogs rule and its all about you guessed it, dogs! They have some of the cutest puppy videos I've ever seen. I also used it to look at dogs up for adoption in my area because I have to start thinking ahead to this summer when I'm getting a dog! There are 4 million dogs up for adoption every year. Look at some of these cute pictures I found and go out and adopt a dog!

100's Night & Weekend

100's night is one of the bigest events in a cadet's years at school, only 2nd to ring dance where we get our class rings (which I had last May). It marks the achievements of all the hard work, 100 days until graduation, and the release our next duty assignment once we leave camp USAFA. Last Friday marked this celebration for us & we partied the whole weekend to celebrate (most celebrated, some drank away their misserable assignments like Wyoming or Kansas). I'm going to Seymour Johnson, North Carolina. Its 9 hours away from my house, less than an hour from Raleigh, NC, and only about an hour or so away from the beach! I'm slowing getting used to it and seeing that it may not be so bad. Its near a lot of good schools so medical school may still be in my future. And my sister is looking at going to school around there, so I'll have her close in a year or so. Now the next step is graduation, starting to pack up my things, and get a dog!!!!

Here are a few pictures from my busy weekend:
Joy, Katrina, & I at noon meal formation on Friday. Our whole class wore our blue baseball caps, something we haven't done since basic/freshman year.
Watching the seniors take the hill from our squad.
We all gathered on the hill and went to Mitchs happy as could be!

Matt & I at dinner (before we got our assignments).
With a few guys from my squadron: Dave, Mike, me, & Andrew right before dinner started.
Matt & I at Breckenridge on Saturday.

We went to Vail on Monday. The conditions were great!
I came back to an assault course in my room thanks to the freshman. They decorate senior's rooms during the weekend while we are gone.
I only got these pictures because it was hard to get anything else. They took out my lights, rearanged my furniture so I had to low crawl into my room, under some barbwire, & over some chairs. There were signs all over the room with things we would say to the basics while working the assault course (like "get your knees up" or "grenade") and at the end of the maze was a pile of wood chips with pugal sticks on top representing the pits where the basics faught. It was one of the best rooms in the squadron.

Kate Walsh's New Hair

I loved her as a red head! She was so beautiful & unique...
Now look what she did! She still looks pretty but bring the red back!

Valentine's Day

Here are pictures from my suprise Valentine's Day dinner at The Pepper Tree. Matt did a really good job with this suprise! The food was really good (but a little priecy) and they had an amazing wine list. It was so much fun!
