March Madness
Good luck Kentucky in your game today! I believe in you and have you beating Marquette in the first roung of games today, starting at noon. If you were unaware, March Madness begins TODAY! What does your bracket look like? My first round upsets: #12 George Mason over #3 Notre Dame, #11 Saint Joseph's over #6 Oklahoma, #11 Kansas State over #6 USC, #11 Kentucky over #6 Marquette, #14 Cornell over #3 Stanford, #10 Saint Mary's over #7 Miami, #12 Western Kentucky over #5 Drake, and #10 Arizona over #7 West Virginia.
I have a few more upsets but I can't tell you my whole bracket!
My final four: #1 North Carolina (east), #1 Kansas (midwest), #2 Texas (south), and #1 UCLA (west).
I think North Carolin will win it all. Your thought?
Towels
Do you want to know the towels voted the absolute best by users: Macy's Hotel Towel Collection. They are apparently durable, long lasting, and soft. I should get a few of these for my apartment. Good towels are definitely worth investing in, or you will be replacing cheap ones a lot sooner than planned. Here is some information I found about them from Apartment Therapy:
Both the Hotel Collection "Microcotton" Luxury Towels and Hotel Collection "Finest" Bath Towels are thick and lush, soft, absorbent, and durable.
The Microcotton Towels are priced from $10-$50 ($7.99-$39.99 on sale), and available in 16 colors.
The Finest Towels are available in four neutrals, and range from $15-$75 ($11.99-$59.99 on sale).
Bloggers at apartment therapy also seemed to like the towels from target. Aparently they are cheaper, still very soft, and in a variety of colors.
Don't forget to be on the lookout for these hotel towels at TJ Max, Marshals, or any other similar store! Same towels at a cheaper price. I'm a big fan of these stores. :)
First Day of Spring
Happy first day of spring! (except on the east coast-spring starts tomorrow. I don't know why I just heard that on the news today). It actually feels like spring here, with a high today in the 60's! That's a very nice change from the snow/ice storm we got last weekend. I love when it starts warming up. My favorite part of spring: flowers start blooming! Enjoy some pretty flowers:
Easter Lillies (tomorrow is Good Friday & Easter in on Sunday):
I can't wait to start a garden of my own. It might look something like this one day:

The Calm Before The Storm
And I definitely need one right now before all the festivities (aka training) of the weekend starts! Blah
This is how I feel about training this weekend, I don't wanna! At least its the last time I have to yell at anyone, and I'm predicting I will have lost my voice by the end of the weekend b/c apparently I don't yell correctly, and I use my throat instead of my stomach. Oh well. I'm just looking forward to celebrating St. Patty's Day Saturday night when this shit is all over! 3 down...1 to go (Thank Goodness!)Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Shoes
So I just bought some new chunky shoes for spring break, just because i didn't have enough, hehe. Anyway, it got me thinking, I'm going to need some major storage space in my new place for my shoes (my weakness/addiction) or else I'm going to have to get very creative to store them so I can see them all so I pick the right ones to wear with any outfit. I could store them like this (if only I'll have lots-and-lots-o-space):
Or I could have a closet like Carrie in Sex & the City. Any storage ideas?

Boarding Over the Weekend
I was so great to have Katie out here this last weekend to go boarding! We had a lot of fun up in Breckenridge & Vail. This trip was her Christmas present & I think she really enjoyed it. Over the progress of the weekend, she got a lot better at boarding & was even mastering the concept of carving! And she's now a pro at mogels (spelling?), haha. Here are some great pictures from the weekend:

Sad News
This just in...Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancer, which according to the news tonight has a 99% death rate. This is very very sad for me. I grew up watching him in all of his movies, starting with one of my favorites: Dirty Dancing (picture below). He is an icon. I wish him the best of luck fighting this terrible disease. Keep his family, friends, and Patrick himself in your prayers.Wednesday, March 5, 2008
Apartment Hopefuls
I was browsing some interior design blogs tonight and a few furniture websites & I found these cute pieces I would love to have in my apartment:
Book Shelf $123
Full Size Bed Frame $200
These pink chairs are awesome! Not sure where I would put them, but I would find somewhere they would fit in. $430All Found at Overstock.
Sex & The City Quiz Results
So I took a few S&tC quizzes (on facebook of course, haha) and this is what I found out:

The character I'm most like is Carrie (I would have said a mix between Carrie & Charlotte, but I guess they don't do mixes) because: You're quirky, witty, and every guy's perfect first date!

And my "man" is Smith Jerrod, Sam's man at the end of the series, because: You need a very sexxxxy man with very hard abs but a very soft heart. You need a man who is not afraid of the fact that you are a powerful woman and who will embrace all you little flaws (sounds like someone I know and have!)
